iPhones are one of the most sought after smartphones in the market. And why iPhones are more famous is the entertainment sources it comes with, which is not present in supposedly (by many) the smartest phone – BlackBerry. However, the first and second generation iPhones didn’t have video recording feature. Though it might not have affected iPhone’s love among its users, and iPhone continued to be a hit among people. But Apple sure knew video recording is something its users would love the phone even more for. And thus, the successor of third generation iPhone (3GS), which came in the market this year, had option for video recording. But this was only 3GS, and those with already an iPhone of 2G and 3G remained with the same no-video-recording feature.
Well, 2G and 3G iPhone owners would be glad to know this – now you can record video on your iPhones in just $0.99. Yes, finally Apple launched its ivideocamera application for video recording on iPhone. The app has reached the Apple App store. However, problems are there. The recording with this application is 3 frames per second, which will give pretty bad pictures (iPhone 3GS has a video recording rate of 30 frames per second.) The difference in the picture quality is huge. Nevertheless, using ivideocamera is the only option if you own a second generation or third generation iPhone.
Along with recording the video, you can share the recorded video on any of the video sharing or social networking/bookmarking sites such as Facebook, Vimeo, Youtube et al.
So those who had been till now not able to record a video and envied that someone with iPhone 3GS, time to celebrate. And just at a price of $0.99! And hoping the video conferencing option also gets approved in all generation iPhones. That will make all the iPhones at par – if not in the price tag, at functions and features.
